Amman, Oct. 12 (Petra) – Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Obeidallah Maaytah met Monday with British Ambassador Philip Hall to discuss security and policing cooperation and coordination to address evolving security challenges.

The PSD Chief said the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United Kingdom offers a foundation for further cooperation between their security and law enforcement agencies.

He highlighted the need to expand specialized training programs and enhance the exchange of expertise and technical knowledge to improve operational efficiency and develop institutional capacities.

For his part, the ambassador, who was accompanied by a delegation, valued Jordan's role in maintaining regional security and stability, commending the PSD's capabilities and professionalism.

The envoy reaffirmed the UK's commitment to strengthening cooperation with the PSD and expanding coordination and expertise exchange to advance the two countries' mutual interests.
